Nowadays every person carrying a professional camera and expensive lenses tend to be a wildlife expert and have an opinion on the elephant populations and management criteria in our reserves - often providing simplistic solutions to very complex problems. Then, along comes a book like "Let Elephants Roam" and you realize the value of having quality photographs combined with scientific data that is beautifully presented in a quality book form, by a true expert. This book will be among the finest - and most cherished - in my collection.
So much information in this book. I was in the Kruger mid Feb and it would have been awesome to have had this book then. Can't wait for next visit and will have my new source of information with me for sure
Baie oulike boek met interessante feite wat jy nie sommer in ander bronne sal raakloop nie. Ongelukkig bevat die inhoudsopgawe slegs die spesie-name in Engels. Die Afrikaanse name word wel by elke spesie se beskrywing vermeld. Anders sou ek 5 sterre gegee het.
